So cool and just a bit surreal to be back at Stonehurst for the first time since photographing one of my very first weddings there 10 summers ago. Definitely took a moment to reflect on how much I’ve grown as a photographer, all that I’ve learned over the years, and all the awesome celebrations I’ve got to be a part of. And this one was no exception – absolutely sweet light all day long, which combined with the ivy and surrounding forest to make for some portraits with an almost magical, fairy-tale type feeling. Really cool stuff. The whole day just had a super warm and loving feeling – very inspiring and definitely another example of why I continue to feel so lucky to get to do this for a living. Enjoy.
A cool thing that happens quite often doing this job is that, although I may have only met a couple once or twice before their wedding, on the big day I really get the feeling that I am like a part of their family. This was certainly one of those weddings. Alice and Peter and their family and friends were all so warm and inviting – just awesome to be around. Tons of happiness and smiles as well as a good amount of tears. I particularly was moved by one of the most beautiful, heartfelt sets of vows I’ve heard in a long time. And when it was time to dance, these folks took that pretty seriously as well. All in all, another super fun day. Big thanks to my friend Rebecca for shooting with me. Enjoy.
Probably my number one goal going into a wedding is to capture as much emotion as possible and for Raelynn and Brianne’s big day I got to say my job was made rather easy. Lots of tears and lots of laughs – just pure emotion and joy all around all day which was really moving and awesome to witness. Again, had another perfect weather day and to top it off there were lots of cute little girls out dominating the dance floor. This wedding was truly great to be a part of. Enjoy.
